President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be the guest of honor at the military parade commemorating the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the 1941−1945 war in Moscow on 9 May, as reported by the Kremlin press service.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended invitations to several heads of state to attend the parade, including Presidents Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, Sadyr Zhaparov of Kyrgyzstan, Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez of Cuba, Thongloun Sisoulith of Laos, and Umaru Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau.

In addition to participating in the parade, the presidents will join Vladimir Putin in a ceremony to lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

As part of his working visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also attend the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the capacity of head of the observer state, as reported by the head of state’s press service.

The itinerary for the visit includes several scheduled bilateral meetings.
