The uniform of the Uzbekistan national team at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris was presented in Tashkent on 2 July. Prime minister Abdulla Aripov and the Senate chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva participated in the ceremony at the Museum of Olympic Glory, the prime minister’s press service said.

The sportswear line was developed by the 7Saber brand, like the uniform the country’s athletes wore at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

According to the brand representatives, the uniform is made from fabrics using the Dri fit technology, giving the products special durability and the ability to distribute moisture during loads on the surface, and evaporate without absorbing it.

'The white-emerald base color combination of both sports and ceremonial attire with prominent gold elements symbolize vitality and openness along with determination and the will to win,' the brand representatives noted.

The uniform is inspired by the historical architecture of Uzbekistan — palaces, mosques and madrasas adorned with fractal mosaics. The central element of the attire is a stylized arch, they added.

At the ceremony, the prime minister and the head of the Senate handed Uzbekistan’s flag to the national delegation’s flag bearers — boxer Abdumalik Khalokov and fencer Zaynab Dayibekova.

It was announced that athletes who win gold medals will receive cash prizes of $200,000. The awards for silver will make up $100,000 and for bronze $50,000. Coaches will receive $50,000, $25,000 and $12,500 respectively.
