The international Bukhara Night Race will be held for the third time in Bukhara on 24 August. The race, which is part of Samarkand Marathon charity series, is organized by the Fund for Development of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan.

The race along the illuminated route will start at sunset and pass through the historic part of the ancient city. The participants can register for distances of 5 and 10 km, Nordic walking for 2 km and children’s races of 300 and 600 meters.

The races will also feature plogging — combination of jogging with picking up litter — that has become a tradition since Zaamin Ultra 2024 race.

The Bukhara Night Race saw participation of over 1,600 athletes from 20 countries last year. This year, the number of participants is expected to nearly double.
