President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on 7−8 August, the press service of the president of Kazakhstan announced.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Astana with state visits in March 2017 and December 2021.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid a state visit to Uzbekistan in December 2022.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also attend the sixth Consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states on 9 August in Astana.
The first such meeting was held in March 2018 also in Astana. The initiative to regularly hold consultative meetings to jointly address regional issues was proposed by president of Uzbekistan.
