President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Moscow on 7−8 October, press service of the head of the state said.
During the visit, Mirziyoyev will participate in the session of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of States.
Russia currently holds the chairmanship in the CIS. At the summit, it will be handed over to Tajikistan.
According to the CIS Executive committee, the summit, scheduled for 8 October, will focus on cooperation within the Commonwealth and sign a number of documents.
In particular, the presidents will consider the address to the peoples of the CIS countries and the global community on the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the war of 1941−1945.
