The turnout at the elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils as of 13:00 reached 47.62%, the Central Election Commission said. At 11:00, the body reported a 30% turnout.

A total of 9.498 million out of more than 19.944 million registered voters have cast their ballots, according to the commission.

“The elections are recognized as valid,” deputy chairman of the CEC Bakhrom Kuchkarov said at a briefing in Tashkent.

According to the Electoral Code, elections are considered valid if at least 33% of voters take part.

The data on voting at polling stations abroad will be announced on Monday.
