Two citizens of Hungary were among the three persons who died on 6 Novermber when a massive boulder fell on their car at Takhtakaracha mountain pass in Kitob district of Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan.
The embassy of Uzbekistan in Budapest in its statement said it had received “with deep sorrow the news of the tragic death of two Hungarian citizens” and expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
“The Uzbek side is conducting a thorough investigation to establish all circumstances of the incident. We are also fully prepared to assist in the swift return of the deceased to their homeland,” the embassy said.
