The M360 GSMA Eurasia Summit will be held in Tashkent on 20−21 May 2025, marking its debut in Uzbekistan. The announcement was made after minister of digital technologies Sherzod Shermatov officially accepted the symbolic handover at the summit hosted in Qatar on 18−19 November, the ministry’s press service said.

The M360 series, organized by the GSM Association (GSMA), is a global initiative for the telecommunications industry, divided by regions such as MENA (Middle East and North Africa), APAC (Asia-Pacific), LATAM (Latin America) and Eurasia. These platforms are designed to facilitate interaction among key players in the mobile industry. “Top executives from the mobile sector and related verticals gather to discuss their challenges, share successes and network with peers,” the event’s website says.

During the Qatar event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the M360 GSMA administration, Ministry of Digital Technologies and Beeline Uzbekistan company to formalize Tashkent’s hosting of M360 Eurasia, company press service said.

“We are delighted to welcome the global system that unites the mobile communications industry to Tashkent, a hub for business connections in our region. Hosting the M360 Eurasia Summit aligns with Uzbekistan’s ambitious digital transformation goals, which aim to not only advance our country but also foster economic growth across Central Asia,” Sherzod Shermatov noted.

“M360 Eurasia is one of the most significant regional platforms that brings our ecosystem together to discuss growth opportunities through connectivity, digital services and technology,” chairman of the board of directors at Beeline Uzbekistan and CEO of VEON Group Kaan Terzioğlu emphasized.

“The event will explore new ways to use mobile connectivity for sustainable economic growth and digital inclusion, offering a platform to foster innovation and collaboration in the region,” director general of GSMA Mats Granryd said.

The summit is expected to bolster Uzbekistan’s international image, attract companies and investors and create new opportunities for business, economic growth and social development.
