The Administration of the President of Uzbekistan announced several appointments, the president’s press secretary Sherzod Asadov said.
Ruslanbek Davletov was appointed president’s advisor on socio-political, religious-educational and youth affairs. Previously, he served as the president’s advisor on socio-political development. Davletov also held the position of the minister of justice from 2017 to 2022.
Abdusalom Azizov, recently relieved of duties as head of the State Security Service, was named deputy president’s advisor for youth affairs under the same advisory division.
Sukhrob Yusupov was appointed deputy advisor to the president on socio-political, religious-educational and youth affairs. Previously, he served as deputy advisor on socio-political development. Before joining the President’s Administration in June 2020, he headed the Department of International Legal Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice.
Adham Turdiyev was named deputy advisor on socio-political, religious-educational and youth affairs. Before this, he was head of a sector within the President’s Administration. Turdiyev, like Yusupov, has a background in the Ministry of Justice.
Additionally, Muzaffar Kamilov stepped down from his role as president’s advisor on interfaith and interethnic relations to take on a new position.
Olim Saliyev similarly left his post as deputy president’s advisor on interfaith and interethnic relations for a new assignment.
