The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) announced the top football players of the year during its annual congress held on 14 December.
Midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullayev, representing Uzbekistan’s national team and Russia’s CSKA Moscow, was crowned footballer of the year. The nomination also included national team goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov and Abdukodir Khusanov, a defender for France’s RC Lens and the Uzbekistan national team.
Timur Kapadze, UFA president Abdusalom Azizov and Abbosbek Fayzullayev
Timur Kapadze, head coach of the Uzbekistan U-23 Olympic team, was named coach of the year. Kapadze made history by leading the team to qualify for the Olympic Games for the first time.
Captain of Uzbekistan’s national futsal team Husniddin Nishonov was recognized as futsal player of the year, while Nodir Eliboyev, whose team claimed victory in both the Uzbek Championship and the Cup, earned the title of futsal coach of the year.
Diyora Khabibullayeva
On the women’s side, Diyora Khabibullayeva, member of Uzbekistan’s national women’s team, was honored as female footballer of the year.
Mukhammadyusuf Sobirov
The award for the best young player of the year went to Mukhammadyusuf Sobirov, a goalkeeper for FC Sogdiana.
In the Women’s Premier League, Vladislav Khan was awarded women’s football coach of the year after securing the league title.
Maftuna Shoimova
Sevinch club player Maftuna Shoimova was announced the best female footballer of the Women’s Premier League.

Legendary coach and five-time Uzbekistan champion Yuriy Sarkisyan, known for his contributions to the FC Neftchi, was celebrated with the honorary title of “football aksakal”.
Among referees, Ilgiz Tantashev was named the best referee of the year after officiating four matches at the Paris Olympic Games and the AFC Champions League final. Gulshoda Saidqulova earned the title of the best female referee for her work in the Uzbekostan’s Cup final.
