Uzbekistan plans to strengthen its strategic partnership with the United States, the draft state program for 2025 says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with establishing close ties with representatives of the new US administration and organizing a high-level visit by the end of the year.
The draft includes hosting the first round of the expanded Strategic Partnership Dialogue with the United States at a senior level in Tashkent.
Uzbekistan also intends to enhance cooperation within the “C5+1” framework (5 Central Asian countries and the US), including ministerial meetings, working group sessions and preparations for a summit in Samarkand to mark the 10th anniversary of the format.
The draft program highlights plans to strengthen interparliamentary relations, particularly through arranging visits of US Congress members to Uzbekistan.
The program also envisages expanded security cooperation with the US and plans to continue close collaboration to maintain its strong rankings in various US government reports on human rights.
Additionally, Uzbekistan aims to bolster ties in education, science, healthcare, environmental protection and other fields. This includes fostering university partnerships, advancing English language education and implementing joint scientific and ecological projects.
