ADB will provide advisory support to Uzbekistan in implementing public-private partnership projects to develop 500 preschools across five regions. Similar support is already being provided for the development of 100 kindergartens in Samarkand region.

ADB will lend to Uzbekistan $240 million to improve 700 km of rural roads in all regions of the country. The project is expected to improve their capacity, quality, connectivity, and resilience to climate change.
The Asian Development Bank and Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power have signed loans worth $174 million to develop the Bash and Dzhankeldy wind farms in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara region.
