Four dead in new incident at M-25 gas field in southern Uzbekistan
Four workers died following a new accident at the M-25 (25 Years of Independence) gas field in Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region on Tuesday. Two days earlier, the operating company said the hydrogen sulfide leak, which had started on 1 September, had been contained.

Efforts underway to contain hydrogen sulfide leak at gas well in southern Uzbekistan
A hydrogen sulfide leak at the “25 Years of Independence” gas field in Surkhandarya has led to evacuation of the local population. Works to contain the leak are expected to start soon, Emergency Ministry representative said.
