Bribery cases decreased, but embezzlement of budget funds increased — head of Anti-Corruption Agency

The number of bribery-related crimes involving officials has decreased in Uzbekistan over the past years. However, cases of embezzlement of budget funds have risen, head of Anti-Corruption Agency said. The body proposes that those convicted of bribery are barred from holding public office again.
