Uzbekistan will receive a BRICS partner country status starting in 2025, the Foreign Ministry told Gazeta.uz. The Kremlin earlier announced confirmations of readiness to join the organization as partner states from Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand and Uganda.
At the BRICS Plus summit in Kazan, Russia, president of Uzbekistan called for reforms in global governance institutions, emphasized the need to expand South-South and North-South dialogues and addressed the humanitarian crises in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the situation in Afghanistan.
