Russian journalist Alexey Pivovarov briefly detained in Nukus for working without accreditation
Russian journalist Alexey Pivovarov and his film crew were briefly detained in Nukus for working without the accreditation required by law of Uzbekistan. Pivovarov later said they were released, assuring, “Everything is fine!”

President Mirziyoyev: “If we do not satisfy demand for news and analytics, others will do it for us”
If people’s demand in news and analysis is not satisfied by local sources, this will be done by foreign ones, president of Uzbekistan told the Security Council. “This is impermissible,” he stressed.
