Uzbekistan will launch Clean Hands program from May, requiring healthcare and educational institutions to install handwashing stations. The TIMSS 2023 study of education quality in mathematics and science has shown that 4th and 8th graders in Uzbekistan score low in these subjects. The analysis also highlights a correlation between factors like attendance, parental status, school discipline and others with academic performance.
