Heads of governments of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan met at tri-border area of the states to discuss shared border sections. They expressed confidence that the meeting would “shape the fate of the region for decades, fostering the prosperity of its peoples and nations”.
Tajikistan is expected to join the Unified Energy System of Central Asia by the end of May, said minister of energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamahmudov.
Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan signed a Treaty on Allied Relations between the two countries. A total of 28 documents were signed during Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Dushanbe.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Tajikistan on April 18−19. He will hold negotiations with president of Tajikistan and other officials, and attend a number of joint events.
Four Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan expect to hold large-scale joint military exercises on the territory of Kazakhstan in July.
