Art of making and playing rubab included in UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage
The art of making and playing the rubab was included in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The nomination was proposed by Uzbekistan and other countries of the region.

UNESCO includes two Uzbekistan nominations in Memory of World Register
“Turkiston Album (1871−1872)” and “Images of Khorazm Oasis by Khudoybergan Devonov (1879−1937)” have been nominated by Uzbekistan and included in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.
