The US through its Agency for International Development delivered 131 tons of food aid to Uzbekistan valued at over $435,000. Since 2010, USAID’s International Food Relief Partnership program has sent 1,560 tons of food aid to Uzbekistan, worth approximately $4.5 million.
The National action plan for health security for 2024−2028 was presented in Tashkent. It aims to improve the country’s preparedness to respond to public health emergencies.
USAID added $6.1 million to its Development Objective Grant Agreement signed with Preschool and School Education Ministry, raising total amount to over $47 million. Funds will be used to improve the skills of elementary school students and to preparing youth in grades 8−11 for future work.
